CRVI is proud to welcome Riadh Azouzi to the team as our new Scientific Director, joining Centre de robotique, de vision et IA in its mission to make businesses more competitive by harnessing the potential of artificial intelligence in robotics and vision. Riadh’s career has revolved around computer science, with a focus on manufacturing and production.
Extensive expertise in a range of fields
Riadh served as R&D engineer at D.S.S. Automotion Systems, where he adapted neural networks as part of a rheology control system for concrete.
He then moved to Baan (now Infor), where he put his talents to work as an expert on manufacturing systems and artificial intelligence in the role of senior software engineer, before becoming a research agent with FPInnovations and C.R.I.Q.
Riadh has also worked as a research professional at Laval University, where he helped put many research programs together. He is the lead author on a raft of scientific articles in well-known journals.
“Landing professionals with the kinds of qualifications Riadh brings us,” says CRVI business development manager Louis St-Pierre, “shows that our vision—based on facilities and a working environment that will attract, motivate, and retain talent—is really paying off.”
