CRVI is proud to welcome Wafa Romdhane to the team as our new Computer Vision Expert, joining Centre de robotique, de vision et IA in its mission to make businesses more competitive by harnessing the potential of artificial intelligence in robotics and vision. Wafa’s career has given her the opportunity to acquire 3D-reconstruction expertise in two entirely separate fields.
From digital mapping to dentistry
Wafa launched her career as an R&D engineer at LuxCarta in France, where she worked on a variety of 3D-mapping projects using satellite images.
She then moved to a computer vision developer position at Montreal’s DentalWing, putting her knowledge and skills to work in the field of digital dentistry.
Wafa’s research master’s degree in computer vision provides the academic foundation to support the new ways of seeing she’s been opening up in the world of industry for years.
And as Louis St-Pierre, CRVI’s business development manager puts it, “Skills and talent aren’t the whole story with Wafa—she’s also fabulous to work with and terrifically open to collaboration.”
